As we approach a new year, I’m thrilled to share a glimpse of what’s on the horizon for CCI events. From engaging workshops to expanding our global footprint, 2025 is shaping up to be a defining year for advancing innovation.
Here are seven things I’m most excited about convening next year:
1. Decentralization & National Security Workshop Series
In an era of evolving global challenges, the speed and scale of innovation can be a hurdle for national security officials. As digital assets become more mainstream, so will the risks. But, this industry’s experts can help keep security officials up to date on the latest advances and trends.
In 2024, CCI’s workshop series welcomed over 200 officials from the FBI, Department of Defense, IRS, Secret Service and crypto insiders from some 50 companies. They joined experts from our membership to discuss important topics like Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks, Stabelcoins, and global economic competition.
Next year, CCI will be expanding and adding new features to our interactive workshop series. We look forward to bringing together policymakers, security experts, and industry leaders to explore how we can enhance security, transparency, and resilience.
We hope you can join us – these workshops will foster meaningful discussions and actionable insights to address critical issues such as cyber threats, supply chain integrity, and financial security.
2. Lobby Days in DC, Brussels, London, and in key U.S. States
Next year, we’re expanding our Lobby Day program that provides our members with direct access to policymakers and regulators in Washington, D.C., Brussels, London, and key U.S. states.
These events are more than just meetings—they’re opportunities for our members to share their expertise and firsthand experiences, helping decision-makers understand the nuances of blockchain and crypto innovation.
Lobby Days allow for in-depth, face-to-face discussions with influential leaders, giving our members the chance to advocate for policies that promote responsible growth. Whether in Capitol Hill offices or EU Commission chambers, these engagements are always inspiring and energizing. I can’t wait to see the impact our members will have in these settings.
3. Media Roundtables
Educating the public and fostering accurate dialogue around crypto requires thoughtful engagement with the media. CCI’s exclusive media roundtable series called the Crypto Café will return as a monthly feature on our events calendar.
These lunchtime meetings provide an informal setting for journalists and experts to unpack complex topics, ask tough questions, and get access to industry-leading insights.
These events were some of the highlights of my year. Topics such as What’s next for CBDCs, The Risk of Dedollarization, How Does Track and Trace Tech Work, How Do Anti-money Laundering Measures Work, What’s Next for Stabelcoins always lead to interesting discussions.
4. Stories of Crypto in Action
Thought leadership thrives on collaboration. Our Digital Leadership Series will create a library of videos to accompany our 50+ stories of crypto in action.
By fostering dialogue among innovators, regulators, and visionaries, this series will help surface fresh ideas and strengthen the industry’s collective voice on pivotal topics shaping the digital future.
I am looking forward to chatting with our partners at Mercy Corp Ventures, Kellogg Foundation and the Center for Digital Future to help tell more stories of positive change.
5. Thought Leadership on Key Issues
CCI remains at the forefront of advocating for policy solutions that balance innovation and protection. Next year, we’ll deepen our expertise with thought leadership on critical topics such as staking.
Through white papers, policy briefs, and stakeholder engagements, we’ll continue to provide clarity and drive consensus on the policies that will shape crypto’s future.
6. Expanding Regional Presence
Our global reach is growing.
A few weeks ago, CCI announced key partnerships with the Japan Cryptoasset Business Association (JCBA) and Global Digital Finance (GDF), the integration of the Proof of Stake Alliance (POSA) into the CCI ecosystem, and the addition of Yele Bademosi as Africa Advisor.
We also held our first ever Brussels Forum to help the industry connect with EU policymakers and regulators. The invite-only event brought together 75 stakeholders for a day of workshops and plenaries to shape the future of our growing digital economy.
Building on those successes, we’re excited to expand our presence in the EU, Japan, and Sub-Saharan Africa in 2025. With new team members and partnerships in these regions, we’ll bring CCI’s collaborative approach to more policymakers, regulators, and innovators around the world.
New delegation trips will connect our members 1:1 with policymakers and regulators. Local programming will ensure that our advocacy efforts reflect the diverse needs and priorities of the global crypto ecosystem. Also, expect more invites in your inboxes – our member roundtables, workshops, and happy hours will further deepen our community ties and provide new opportunities for connections across the public and private sectors.
7. Enhancing Global Focus
A key priority for an association like CCI is fostering international cooperation. In 2025, CCI can play a pivotal role in bridging gaps between regions with varying regulatory approaches by hosting forums that bring together regulators and policymakers from different jurisdictions to exchange ideas and identify common goals.
We look forward to working with international organizations, ensuring consistency and fairness across markets; as well as providing resources and best practices to help developing nations craft balanced and forward-thinking regulations.
Global harmonization will not only make compliance easier for businesses but also unlock the potential of crypto and blockchain technologies on a truly international scale.

Each of these initiatives reflects CCI’s commitment to driving meaningful progress, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the crypto industry continues to innovate responsibly. I couldn’t be more excited about the year ahead—and I look forward to seeing how these programs will shape the dialogue around digital assets and blockchain technology in 2025.
