George Leonardo

George Leonardo is Policy Counsel at the Crypto Council for Innovation. Prior to CCI, George spent three years building a solo venture focused on delivering nonpartisan summaries and analysis of crypto bills and regulations to Capitol Hill staff, lawyers, and policy professionals across Washington D.C. and industry.

George began his career on Capitol Hill working for Senator John Cornyn, including as a legislative aide covering a broad portfolio of issues, such as telecommunications, science, and technology. After graduating from The George Washington University Law School with a concentration in business and finance law, George practiced as a litigation associate at Milbank LLP’s Washington D.C. office, primarily focusing on bankruptcy matters. George holds a B.A. in economics and history from Boston College.
